My first experience using a 3D Printer

Published on 2013-08-13, by in Uncategorized.

So there is a Co-Work space near my hotel called “Rock IT Colabs”. They are fairly new so haven’t been charging me (yet). In their basement they have a $1,500 Type A Machine: Series 1 (3D plastic printer). Last night they taught  a class on it. After the class I stayed around to try and print something but we couldn’t get my PC to connect.

So I went in this morning and gave it another go. Again problems problems and more problems. They didn’t know what to do either because they had 0 problems connecting their Macs. Windows however requires a driver I forgot to install. The port to connect turned out to be automatic and not the string they were using. Plus I downloaded the 32bit software when I needed the 64 bit! UGH so much wasted time!

But finally I got it printing!!! Pictures below and video coming soon.
